Another cookie which I tried of my own... Actually this should have been my first attempt. You see if people hear the word baking they immediately associate it with chocolate or cocoa powder. So the moment I started baking cookies H asked - no chocolate? So this recipe is kind of my innovation. I didn't refer to any sites - just put together the ingredients and the cookies tasted awesome.
Ingredients
Butter at room temperature - ½ Cup (110 grams)
Powdered Sugar - ½ Cup (65 grams)
All purpose flour - 1 Cup (130 grams)
Salt - ⅛ teaspoon
Pure Vanilla Extract - ½ teaspoon
Honey - 2 tbsp
Cocoa powder - 4 tbsp
Choco-chips - 1/4 cup
Baking powder - a pinch
Transfer the dough to a cling wrapped surface and make a log. cover it with cling wrap.
Refrigerate the dough for an hour
After about an hour, Preheat the oven to 350F/180C
Remove the dough from refrigerator and cut the dough into half inch thick cookies.
Bake in a preheated 350F/180C oven for 22-25 minutes, rotating the pans halfway through.
Notes:
Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
