Carrot Peas thoran

I always have a stock of carrots in my refrigerator. And now in winter we have peas in abundance. So tried this combination for the first time. It turned out great. The orange and green combination was very inviting. The side dish vanished in seconds. Please try it out.

Carrots - 200 grams
Peas - 150 grams
Coconut (grated) - 50 grams
Oil - 10 grams
red chilly flakes - 10 grams
mustard - 5 grams
Salt and turmeric powder - to taste

Chop carrots into small cubes.
In a kadai pour oil, add mustard. Once mustard splutters add the chopped carrots.
Add the peas, salt and turmeric powder.
Mix well and sprinkle a little water. Cover and cook until the carrots and peas are cooked.
Add the grated coconut, red chilly flakes and mix well.
Heat for another 2 minutes.

Carrot-peas thoran is ready. Serve with a rice and gravy of your choice.
